Democo: meeting rooms ready for hybrid working

One uniform meeting experience, from huddle room to boardroom – so the technology works for the user, not the other way around

At Democo, collaboration is central. For a construction company where colleagues are spread across the office, construction sites and home workspaces, a meeting room that works without frustration is not a luxury but a necessity. dgtgroup was tasked with equipping the meeting rooms with professional audiovisual technology that feels smooth and reliable – for internal meetings as well as conversations with clients and partners. We did not start from the technology, but from the way Democo collaborates today.

Start from the room, not from the device

Every meeting room has its own rhythm. An informal huddle room calls for something different than a boardroom where decisions are made with a large group. That is why we first mapped all user groups and needs and divided the rooms by size: small, medium and large. Based on that, we selected the right combination of screen, camera and audio for each room – always with the same goal: a comfortable, fully equipped room where every meeting can start right away.

Microsoft Teams Rooms as the foundation

Democo's meeting rooms run on Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR). These systems transform every room into an efficient collaboration environment with full video support: you walk in, press one button and the call starts. Thanks to uniform controls in all rooms, every space feels familiar right away – whether you are in the large boardroom or in a huddle space. Where desired, we also facilitate other platforms such as Zoom Rooms or Google, so Democo is never tied to a single ecosystem.

Wireless presenting

No one wants to keep searching for the right cable or adapter. With USB dongles, everyone – employee or external guest – can present wirelessly from their own laptop within seconds. Using the Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) principle, you start a video meeting with your own device and control all peripherals in the room with one press of a button: the microphones, the videobar and the camera. This keeps the threshold low and ensures every conversation runs professionally, even when a client takes over.
